FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The database should be updated by SeaHunter managers: crewings, shipping companies, shipowners and HR contacts. In the prototype this is demo logic; in production it is important to record the last contact check date.

Some addresses may be temporarily unavailable, changed or closed by the company. That is why a delivery report matters: it shows where the email went and where a new contact is needed.

Yes. The ideal SeaHunter flow: you choose sector and region, and the manager can exclude unwanted companies before launch.

Replies usually do not come immediately. Some companies answer within a few days; others keep the CV on file and return later when a suitable vacancy appears.

You get a detailed report with a mailing log: exact send time for each email, selected company segment and delivery status. That gives full transparency β€” you see where and when your CV went, and which emails need a resend or follow-up.

PDF in English works best. If the CV is weak or outdated, SeaHunter can offer a separate CV and cover letter service before mailing.

Your CV is sent only to verified maritime companies and crewing agencies. We do not publish contact details publicly and do not pass information to third parties. Remember: real crewings do not charge for employment. If someone asks for payment for a β€œguaranteed contract”, visa or medical without clear documents and details, it may be fraud.

No β€” mailing does not guarantee a contract. It increases reach and saves time, but the company decides after reviewing CV, documents, experience and interview.
